Sajith Criticizes Government's Stance on IMF Agreement

Speaking to the media yesterday ( November 21), on the Government’s Policy Statement that was delivered in Parliament by President Anura Kumara.

Premadasa said the President’s Policy Statement shows the new government plans to follow the IMF deal made by the previous regime. 

He urged the government to fulfill promises to renegotiate the agreement and make it more people-centric.

Premadasa added that the Opposition is ready to support amendments to the IMF agreement to better serve the public while maintaining IMF approval.
