Kushani Rohanadheera, the Secretary-General of Parliament, has instructed all newly elected Members of Parliament (MPs) to be present at the Parliament premises by 9 am tomorrow, November 21, for the inaugural session of the 10th Parliament, set to begin at 10 am.

Upon arrival, MPs’ vehicles will be directed to designated parking areas by police officers. MPs will then proceed to the Parliament's lobby and remain there until the ceremonial bell is rung.

The registration process for newly elected MPs is ongoing today. MPs are required to visit the information desk within the Parliamentary complex to provide their details, including their fingerprints, which is mandatory for registration.

Additionally, a workshop will be held for the new MPs on November 25, 26, and 27, where they will be briefed on parliamentary procedures, manners, and how the Parliament operates. The Secretary-General assures that all necessary information will be provided during these sessions.
