The Election Commission has officially declared Ranjith Madduma Bandara, the General Secretary of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), as a Member of Parliament through the party's National List, and the announcement was made via a Special Gazette notification.
The SJB secured five National List seats in the general election held on November 14.
While Ranjith Madduma Bandara has been appointed to one of these positions, the nominations for the remaining four seats are yet to be finalized.
