Colombo Stock Exchange to Adjust Trading Hours for Election

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has announced that it will amend its trading hours in light of the 2024 Parliamentary Election. On Wednesday, 14 November, the stock market will close early to accommodate the election day proceedings.
Trading will be conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM on election day, with a shortened session.
The CSE further stated that regular trading hours will resume on Monday, 18 November 2024, following the conclusion of the election.
Market participants are advised to plan accordingly, and the CSE assures that it will continue to monitor the situation to ensure a smooth transition back to normal trading hours.
