Dubai Airports has partnered with Etihad Clean Energy Development Company to launch the world's largest rooftop solar panel project at an airport.

The project, to be completed by 2026, will install 62,904 solar panels at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC), generating 60,346 MWh annually.

This 39MWp project will reduce carbon emissions by 23,000 tonnes yearly—equivalent to taking 5,000 cars off the road or powering 3,000 homes.

Solar energy will supply 6.5% of DXB's and 20% of DWC's power needs, supporting cleaner and more sustainable airport operations.
