Dr. Shafi Files Complaint against Alleged Harassment and False Charges

Speaking outside the ministry, Dr. Shafi shared that he had endured five years and six months of suffering. "It wasn’t just my freedom yesterday, it was justice for all who supported truth. I want to ensure no one else suffers this injustice," he stated.

Dr. Shafi was acquitted by the Kurunegala Magistrate’s Court yesterday (November 6) of all charges, including allegedly amassing assets illegally, performing unauthorized sterilization surgeries, and having links to terrorist activities. The Attorney General’s Department confirmed insufficient evidence to proceed, leading to the case's dismissal.
