Cabinet Approves Galle Face for Social Events

This decision aims to make Galle Face an appealing and safe place for both tourists and locals, where people can allow to participate in the festivals, musical shows, and celebrations subject to the appropriate criteria as existed prior to 2023.

The approval was granted on a proposal by the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation, Vijitha Herath, to ensure the area is managed systematically and transparently under the "Clean and Green Galle Face" initiative.
