Dharmasiri reported a 63% voter turnout as polling closed at 4:00 p.m. Dharmasiri stated that the counting of votes would start at approximately 4:30 p.m. at each polling station to ensure a smooth and timely tally of ballots. He also confirmed that the polling proceeded peacefully, with no incidents reported.
The Election Commission reports that 55,643 registered voters were eligible to participate, based on the 2018 voter registration list.
