Cabinet Approves Rs. 3,000 Monthly Increase for Government Pensioners

Although the increase was not included in the October 10th pensions, the government has initiated a special program to ensure pensioners receive the allowance in the coming days. The Treasury has already released the necessary funds.

Minister Herath also acknowledged the ongoing challenge of wage disparity among pensioners, stressing that while it remains a complex issue, this increase offers some relief.
