At least 18 workers were injured, and one has died following a boiler explosion at a factory in Badalgama.
The deceased, a 52-year-old from Giriulla, is currently at the Negombo District General Hospital mortuary. Injured workers are receiving treatment at various hospitals, including those in Negombo, Divulapitiya, and Akaragama.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the explosion was caused by excessive pressure within the boiler. Badalgama Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
