In 2024, the Indian High Commission organized a cultural excursion aimed at fostering cooperation between the Indian and Sri Lankan armed forces. A total of 119 Officers and Other Ranks from India arrived in Sri Lanka on 02 October 2024 and received a warm welcome at Katunayake International Airport.
Srilanka Army On the following day, the visiting Indian troops participated in a cultural performance hosted by the Sri Lanka Military Academy in Diyatalawa. They visited Haggala Botanical Park, Nine Arch Bridge, Ravana Ella, and Bandarawela.
