The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has positioned helicopters on standby to assist in ongoing flood relief efforts, according to SLAF Spokesperson Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe. Helicopters are stationed at the Ratmalana, Hingurakgoda, and Palaly Air Force bases, ready to provide support as needed by the Disaster Management Center.
Meanwhile, naval and army relief teams are actively engaged in flood-affected areas, conducting operations to aid those impacted by the severe weather.
