Fertilizer Subsidy for Paddy Farmers to Begin in Ampara District Next Week

The government's Rs. 25,000 fertilizer subsidy for paddy farmers will commence in the Ampara District on Monday, 14th October, according to Cabinet Spokesman Minister Vijitha Herath. Speaking at today's (8th October) Cabinet press conference, Minister Herath noted that the subsidy will roll out just ahead of the Maha season.
“We are starting with the Ampara district and will extend the program to Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, Mahiyanganaya, and the Mahaweli regions soon after,” he said.
