Bribery Commission Director General Kanishka Wijeratne has submitted his resignation letter to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
It is reported that he has submitted his resignation letter in the background of the fact that a fundamental rights petition has been submitted to the Supreme Court regarding the appointment of the Director General of the Bribery Commission.
The court granted leave to proceed with three Fundamental Rights applications filed challenging his appointment as the DG of the Bribery Commission
