The Sri Lankan Embassy in Israel states that all flights between Sri Lanka and Israel have been cancelled until next Monday. The reason for this is that the operations of the main airport in Israel have been temporarily suspended.

Because of this, Ambassador Nimal Bandara says that people who have scheduled flights before Monday should reschedule the relevant dates. No significant damage has been reported to Sri Lankans so far due to attacks by Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas.

If a risk situation arises in the future, necessary arrangements have been made for it. The Israeli government says it has established underground camps,

underground hospitals and emergency ambulance services for protection in case of increased attacks on Israel. The Sri Lankan Foreign Employment Bureau states that almost 20,000 Sri Lankans are currently working in Israel and Lebanon.

12 thousand of them are in Israel. Currently, only 28 Sri Lankans have sought asylum. They are kept in special security centers.
