7- member independent investigation committee has been appointed today on the advice of Prime Minister to investigate the issue of 5 scholarship papers.
Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Thilaka Jayasundara stated that the relevant committee will investigate the incident within two days and make recommendations to the Prime Minister regarding the measures to be taken so that children are not treated unfairly.
She mentioned that the Ministry has received a preliminary report from the investigations of the CID regarding the alleged issue of the first question paper of the scholarship examination, and that an investigation is also underway by the Examinations Department regarding the incident.
