President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to swear in his cabinet today.
The new cabinet is expected to remain in office until a new Parliament convenes with newly elected MPs.
Vijitha Herath and Harini Amarasuriya and Laxman Nipunarachchi who took the seat vacated by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake are the only NPP representatives in Parliament.
Before the dissolution of the Parliament, several other new ministry secretaries are also scheduled to be appointed. Gazette notification regarding the dissolution of Parliament will be issued by midnight tonight
