Anura Kumara has taken an early lead in postal votes

Anura Kumara Dissanayake of Sri Lanka’s National People’s Power has taken an early lead in postal votes of the Presidential election 2024 declared so far.

Out of results declared so far, made of 18 postal votes and three divisions, Dissanayake has got 54 percent, Sajith Premadasa 20 percent and Ranil Wickremesinghe 19 percent.

Anura Kumara has secured 20,864 postal votes in the Colombo district and 19,712 postal votes in the Matara district and votes in the 8,946 Nuwara-Eliya district.

He  secured 25,892 postal votes in Galle, 5,480 in Trincomalee, 4,899 in Vanni and 12,186 votes in Matale.

Anura secured 19,185 votes in Ratnapura district, 11,768 votes in Polonnaruwa district, 14,482 votes in Hambantota district and 14,050 votes in Monaragala district.
