Advisory for strong winds and rough seas

Wind speed can increase up to(50-55) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Trincomalee to Galle via Kankasanthurai, Puttalam and Colombo.

The sea areas off the coasts extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Matara and Hambantota will be rough or very rough at times.

The sea areas off the coasts extending from Trincomalee to Galle via Kankasanthurai, Puttalam and Colombo will be rough.

Fishing and naval community are requested to be attentive to future forecasts issued by the Department of Meteorology in this regard.
