Anura Vidanagamage has been appointed as the new Governor of the Uva Province.
Vidanagamage has previously served as a Uva Provincial Councillor and also as the Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine, Probationary and Child Protection and Women Affairs and Social Welfare of the Uva Provincial Council.
A. J. M. Muzammil tendered his resignation order to support Opposition Leader, Sajith Premadasa in the presidential election.
