The sluice gates of the Kukuleganga Reservoir opened with the heavy rains, Due to this several areas of the Bulathsinghala Molkawa main road have been flooded.
Also the areas of Dambala and Atambagashandiya were flooded and traffic was disrupted.tt
There is a possibility of a flood situation occurring in the low-lying areas of Kuda Ganga and Maguru Ganga valleys situated in Bulathsinhala, Madurawala and Palinda Nuwara D/S Divisions in the next 48 hours,
The residents of those low-lying areas and motorists travelling through those areas are requested to be vigilant in this regard. DMC officials are requested to take adequate precautions.
