Interpol issues Red Warrants for 164 Sri Lankan criminals abroad

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has secured red warrants via Interpol to apprehend 164 Sri Lankan criminals residing abroad, including four females, according to police sources.

The largest concentration of Sri Lankan criminals is reportedly in Dubai, with others scattered across India, France, Italy, England, and various European nations, the CID disclosed.

Among the wanted individuals are Mohammad Najeem Mohammad Imran, also known as Kanjipani Imran, suspected to be in France, and Sinharage Saminda Silva, alias Ratmalane Kudu Anju.

The list also features names such as Annasi Merril, Siddique, Kosgoda Sujee, Karandeniye Sudda, Loku Patee, Podi Patee, Ahungalle Sanjeewa, Ooragune Victor, Kimbula Ela Guna, Pukudu Kanna, and Bumma, according to police reports.

Additionally, police are actively pursuing further red warrants to extradite several other criminals to Sri Lanka.
