Two 15-year-old students, a male and female attending an International School in Colombo, are suspected to have committed suicide by jumping from the 67th floor of the Altair apartments building on Kompanna Veediya on Tuesday.
Police identified the deceased as residents of Wellawatta and Kelaniya.
According to police investigations, both students were in the same class at the international school and had attended a party at the building after school hours. Approximately 100 students reportedly attended the party.
Investigations revealed that the two students jumped from the 67th floor. Police found their bodies on the 3rd floor and their shoes on the 67th floor. The bodies have been sent to the Colombo National Hospital for post-mortem examination.
The Kompanna Veediya police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
