LP gas cylinder prices slashed in Sri Lanka

The Litro Gas has announced a reduction in the prices of its domestic LP gas cylinders, effective from midnight tonight (July 2). The Chairman of Litro Gas, Muditha Peiris, confirmed the new pricing structure.

The price of a 12.5 kg cylinder will drop by Rs. 100, bringing it down to Rs. 3,690. The 5 kg cylinder will see a reduction of Rs. 40, making the new price Rs. 1,482. Additionally, the 2.3 kg cylinder will now cost Rs. 694, following a Rs. 18 decrease.

Despite rising global market prices, the company has decided to pass on the benefits of structural cost reductions and efficient stock management to consumers. This move aims to provide financial relief to households amid economic pressures.
