Today, all scheduled court proceedings and verdict deliveries at the Kandy Court complex have been postponed due to a bomb scare. The tense situation unfolded this morning after an anonymous call to the police emergency hotline (119) reported a bomb threat.
In response, the bomb disposal unit of the Sri Lanka Army, working alongside the Sri Lanka Police, has launched a thorough security operation within the court premises.
As a result, all cases and verdicts scheduled for today have been rescheduled to July 16th.
