Israeli Tourist Tamar Amitai Missing in Sri Lanka

The Uppuweli Police have launched an investigation to locate a 25-year-old Israeli female tourist, Tamar Amitai, who has been missing since Wednesday (26) while visiting Sri Lanka.

Amitai arrived in Sri Lanka on June 22 and was traveling alone in the Trincomalee area when she went missing. She had booked a guesthouse online and was staying at the Rolex Guest House in Trincomalee. The guesthouse owner reported that she checked in on June 22 and had not returned since Wednesday.

The guesthouse owner lodged a complaint with the Uppuweli Police Station.
