A Sri Lankan delegation, led by Secretary of Foreign Affairs Aruni Wijewardana, will participate in the 13th round of Diplomatic Consultations with the People's Republic of China on June 17 in Beijing. 

Wijewardana will co-chair the discussions with China's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sun Weidong.

The consultations will focus on reviewing progress and advancing bilateral engagement in several key areas, including political relations, economic cooperation, trade, investment, and defense.

The Sri Lankan delegation will also include Ambassador-Designate to China Majintha Jayesinghe and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Sri Lankan Embassy in China.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the 12th Round of Bilateral Political Consultations took place on May 30 in Colombo.
