The Colombo High Court has temporarily lifted the overseas travel ban on Geoffrey Aloysius, Chairman of Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL).

This decision came during the proceedings of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka bond scam case, presided over by a three-member judge panel including Justices Amal Perera, Naml Balalle, and Adithya Patabendige on June 13.

Geoffrey Aloysius, the sixth defendant in the case, has been granted permission to travel to Malaysia for medical treatment. The suspension of the travel ban is effective from June 1 to September 12.

Additionally, the court has instructed the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration to be notified of the temporary lifting of the overseas travel ban.
