Sri Lanka has experienced a notable increase in workers’ remittances, with the inflow reaching USD 544.4 million in May 2024.
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) reports that from January to May 2024, the total remittances amounted to USD 2,624.4 million, marking an 11.8% rise compared to the same period in the previous year.
