
New Political Movement ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ launched in Colombo

Several political parties and intellectual groups have united to form a new political movement named ‘Sarvajana Balaya’. The formal agreement to launch this initiative was signed in Colombo this morning.
The coalition includes prominent parties such as the Mawbima Janatha Party (MJP), led by entrepreneur Dilith Jayaweera, and the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna (JNP), headed by MP Wimal Weerawansa. Additionally, the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU), under the leadership of MP Udaya Gammanpila, the Democratic Left Front, the Communist Party, the Independent MP’s Forum, and several intellectual groups have also joined forces in this new political endeavor.
The formation of ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ marks a notable collaboration among diverse political entities and intellectuals, aiming to bring fresh perspectives and initiatives to the political landscape.
