The Disaster Management Centre stated the sluice gates of the Rajanganaya and Angamuwa will be kept open due to adverse weather conditions.
Due to the heavy rains, the sluice gates of many reservoirs have been opened.
8 sluice gates have been opened in Rajangana Reservoir and 9000 cubic feet per second are being released into Kala Oya Reservoir.
Also two sluice gates of Angamuwa Reservoir have been opened so far.
