Data released by the state debt office revealed a significant drop in Treasury bill yields during Wednesday's auction in Sri Lanka. 

The 3-month yield experienced a notable decrease of 39 basis points, sliding from 9.43 percent to 9.04 percent. A total of 45 billion rupees in securities were offered, with 26.56 billion rupees successfully sold.

Similarly, the 6-month yield witnessed a decline of 33 basis points, falling from 9.76 percent to 9.43 percent. With 77.5 billion rupees worth of securities on offer, the auction saw 74.74 billion rupees being sold.

Moreover, the 12-month yield also experienced a decrease of 33 basis points, dropping from 9.90 percent to 9.57 percent. Securities worth 55 billion rupees were offered, surpassing expectations as 76.19 billion rupees were sold.
