The Jaffna District Crime Prevention Division has uncovered a clandestine laboratory manufacturing Crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as 'ICE,' in Chunnakam.
Jaffna SSP Jagath Wishantha siad that based on intelligence obtained from a suspect, they raided the premises, seizing equipment utilized in the production of the illicit substance.
Investigations are underway to arrest the proprietor of the unlawful facility, believed to be associated with the Ava group operating in Jaffna.
Samples retrieved from the lab have been dispatched to the Government Analyst for forensic examination.
