Concern arose as two female students failed to return home following their GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) examinations at an exam center in Ginigathhena. The guardians of the students lodged a police complaint, reporting their disappearance after the exams at Ambagamuwa National School, where they had arrived with their parents.
Hailing from Nagastenna and Agra Oya areas in Nawalapitiya, the missing students were last seen in their school uniforms, socializing with friends near the examination center. Subsequently, they were reportedly sighted in Nawalapitiya town.
In response, police have disseminated photos of the missing girls to all stations and initiated a specialized investigation to trace their whereabouts.
