Former Health Minister's writ petition hearing set for May 31

The Court of Appeal has scheduled a fresh hearing for the writ petition filed by former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella challenging a Magistrate's order. 

Rambukwella seeks release on bail in connection with the alleged purchase of substandard Immunoglobulin injections. 

Justices Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne and Shashi Mahendran will preside over the two-judge bench on May 31. 

Rambukwella seeks a Writ of Prohibition to prevent further detention in remand custody by Maligakanda Magistrate Lochani Abeywickrama.
