Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles said that a new drug disposal center had been established in Wanathavilluwa.
The center's primary purpose will be the burning and destruction of confiscated drugs.
Alles emphasized that the center will become operational in the near future and highlighted the proactive measures being undertaken to eradicate drugs seized by the Police.
In the initial phase, efforts have been concentrated on destroying over 200kg of confiscated drugs.
