A woman's body, suspected to have died under suspicious circumstances, was discovered in a house in Uragasmanhandiya's Kaluwalagoda area.
Police said the 50-year-old was found on a bed, with initial investigations suggesting she may have passed away a few days prior.
It was reported that she was alone at home, as her husband was away for work.
The body has been taken to Elpitiya Hospital's mortuary for a post-mortem examination, with Uragasmanhandiya Police leading ongoing inquiries.
