Fast bowler Kasun Rajitha has been ruled out due to an upper back injury, dampening Sri Lanka's preparations for the second Test match against Bangladesh.

Rajitha played a pivotal role in Sri Lanka's commanding 328-run victory in the first Test, claiming eight wickets, including an impressive 5 for 56 in Bangladesh's second innings. His absence from the squad poses a significant challenge for Sri Lanka as they seek to maintain their winning momentum in the series.

To fill the void left by Rajitha's absence, Asitha Fernando has been named as his replacement in the squad.

However, Sri Lanka Cricket has yet to finalize the composition of the team for the upcoming Test match, leaving room for speculation regarding the selection process.
