Ambalangoda Police Constables suspended over neglect of duty

Two police constables from the Ambalangoda police station have been suspended due to neglect of duty, the police said.

The suspension follows an incident where the home of 'Saman Kolla,' an organized criminal and drug dealer, was shot at recently. The Ambalangoda HQI was not informed about a message received by the police emergency department regarding this incident.

The suspended constables, who were serving as a telephone operator and computer operator at the Ambalangoda Police Station during the incident, are currently under investigation.
