Customs officials seized over 9 kilograms of gold this morning at Katunayake Airport, which was being brought into Sri Lanka illegally.
According to Customs Spokesman Seevali Arukgoda, the value of the gold has not yet been estimated.
The gold was intercepted at the airport's arrival terminal, and investigations are ongoing.
