Inspector General of Police Deshbandu Tennakoon said that several other criminals wanted in Sri Lanka are currently in custody abroad, and preparations are underway to extradite them to Sri Lanka.
He said that a team from the Criminal Investigation Department has been prepared for this purpose.
The Inspector General of Police added that discussions are ongoing between the Minister of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding this matter.
