The Colombo Fort Magistrate granted anticipatory bail to Actress Damitha Abeyratne and her husband, shielding them from potential arrest until March 6. This legal safeguard comes in the wake of an alleged complaint accusing the couple of defrauding Rs. 3 million under the guise of promising job opportunities in Korea.
Magistrate Thilina Gamage also issued notices summoning the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the CID’s Computer Crimes Unit to appear before the Court on the next hearing date.
