A sergeant and a constable from the Itthepana police station have been arrested on allegations of soliciting a bribe amounting to Rs. 10,000.
The arrest was made following a complaint filed by an individual residing in the Yagirala area, the Bribery Commission said.
Investigations unveiled that the accused officers purportedly demanded and received the bribe in exchange for the release of the complainant's confiscated driving license.
