A Chinese woman has been arrested in connection with a fraud exceeding Rs. 8.4 million, Police said.
The suspect was detained in Kollupitiya on Saturday following an investigation prompted by a complaint received by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau on January 31st. The complaint alleged a business-related fraud exceeding Rs. 8.4 million.
The arrested woman, a 52-year-old Chinese national, is currently under investigation by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau.
