British Instagrammer's deportation appeal dismissed

An appeal by British Instagrammer Kayleigh Fraser against her deportation from Sri Lanka has been rejected by the Supreme Court. 

Fraser, known for documenting anti-government protests, contested the legality of the Court of Appeal's decision to dismiss her writ petition seeking to overturn the Department of Immigration and Emigration's deportation order. 

The Attorney General cited procedural issues and alleged misrepresentation by Fraser. 

She was instructed to leave the country by August 15, 2022, after her visa was revoked for violating its conditions.
