A 55-year-old man was beaten to death with a cricket bat and a stick in what police describe as a result of a personal dispute in Murutalawa, Peradeniya.
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack.
The victim's body has been taken to Peradeniya Hospital for a post-mortem examination, while Peradeniya Police continues their investigation.
