In a parliamentary session today, State Minister of Finance, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, announced the government's decision to continue the import of vehicles in Sri Lanka.
Siyambalapitiya revealed that a committee has been appointed to evaluate measures to regulate vehicle imports and determine the nation's vehicular requirements.
Addressing concerns regarding the recent vehicle imports, the State Minister highlighted that only a minimal number of vehicles had been brought into the country.
Among the recent imports were 21 double cabs allocated for the Ministry of Health and three ramps designated for SriLankan Airlines, which are essential for airline operations.
