A tragic accident occurred when a train traveling from Puttalam to Chilaw collided with a motorcycle at a railway crossing in Arachchikattuwa, resulting in the deaths of a woman and two children who were traveling on the motorcycle.
Police identified the deceased woman as a 36-year-old, along with her two child aged 7 and 9, who lost their lives in the accident.
Police said that they were returning home after attending a tuition class when the accident occurred.
The bodies have been transported to Mundalama Hospital, and the Arachchikattuwa Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
