Two including the gunman, involved in the Meegoda Economic Centre shooting and robbery have been arrested.
The gunman and motorcycle rider were arrested by the STF during a raid in the Thissamaharama area following information obtained during interrogation of two suspects arrested over the incident.
Police said the two gunmen fled the scene and subsequently robbed a businessman of his jewelry in the Pugoda area before abandoning the motorcycle at a restaurant owned by one of the suspects arrested earlier.
During the investigation, police recovered the weapon and motorcycle used in the shooting.
All four suspects are scheduled to appear before the Homagama magistrate after their statements are recorded.
