Two individuals suspected of aiding and abetting the shooting incident at the Megoda Economic Center have been arrested.
Following a robbery involving two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle, who subsequently shot and injured a woman within the Megoda Economic Center on February 12, the Megoda Police initiated an investigation.
Acting on intelligence suggesting the motorcycle's concealment in Kirillawala, Kadawata, Police conducted a raid resulting in the recovery of the motorcycle, along with a helmet, knife, and shirt concealed within a room of a local restaurant.
The proprietor of the restaurant, who harbored the motorcycle, and another individual who provided accommodation to the suspects, were both arrested during the operation.
The detained suspects, aged 39 and 44, hail from the Imbulgama and Kadawata respectively.
